CALLISTO 2 C are the monitors of the new DALI wireless ecosystem that allows easy access to all Hi-Res music directly from the electronic device. It is possible to connect via Bluetooth (AAC/ aptX HD) or with the optional BluOS module (WiFi). CALLISTO 2 C is the perfect choice for perfect rooms where you don't want to compromise on quality playback. The union of the 6½" low-loss DALI woofer, the hybrid tweeter module and a housing with perfect internal balance are the basis for a highly accurate audio experience.

CALLISTO 2 C is perfect for smaller spaces or rooms where loudspeakers must be discreet, but not compromise on power or imaging. The combination of a 6½" woofer with low-loss wood fiber cone, a hybrid tweeter module and a perfectly internally balanced enclosure achieves a powerful and extremely accurate sound experience.
CALLISTO 2 C connects wirelessly to the DALI Sound Hub via a highly stable digital connection. With a latency of less than 25 ms, the synchronization between audio and video in movies or TV is kept within acceptable limits.
Everything from the drivers to the amplifier has been developed in-house, which is why DALI can optimize each part to fit with the other perfectly. That allows the Danes to design the woofers more linearly than would be possible in comparable passive loudspeaker systems.
The CALLISTO 2 C's unique 6½" woofer takes linearity and low loss to a new level. By fully controlling the signal path from source to driver, the DALI acoustic team has been able to elevate audio reproduction beyond that of conventional loudspeakers.
Every element of the CALLISTO woofer has been optimized to work in perfect balance with the integrated amplifier, so the soundstage is rich in detail, coherent in timing and brutally immersive. The result is music reproduced exactly as the artist intended.
DALI has used their experience of developing the OPTICON and RUBICON woofers, along with listening for countless hours, to optimize the magnet motor, bringing it to its zenith. With that knowledge, they have been able to achieve a very linear and perfectly symmetrical suspension in the voice coil and diaphragm area, which is only put in command to lower the diaphragm movement at the overly peaked points.
The extra linearity achieved both around the voice coil and in the spider itself means reduced mechanical distortion and less stress on the amplifier, leading to a better defined soundstage.
The CALLISTO woofer features SMC in the magnetized part. When used in a Magnetic Motor System it provides a significant reduction in mechanical loss distortion.
The unique ability of SMC to offer high magnetic conductivity with low electrical conductivity has all the desirable qualities of a good loudspeaker magnet but without the usual drawbacks.
As a result of this optimization and especially through the use of SMC, CALLISTO 2 C features an extremely agile, well-behaved, ultra-low loss woofer that teamed with the amplifier is able to deliver a richly detailed, time-coherent and very powerful audio signal.
Like its big brother, the CALLISTO 2 C features the innovative Hybrid Tweeter module, which has been optimized specifically for the CALLISTO series. Combining a dome tweeter and a ribbon tweeter results in amazing high-frequency performance and a high-frequency dispersion that surpasses all other tweeter technologies.
The dome membrane is very soft and ultra-light, so thin that it needs a layer of varnish to be used during construction. At DALI they have optimized the magnetic system to maximize the flux saturation right in the voice coil area. This improvement together with the use of an ultra-fine magnetic fluid for cooling means better control, better power handling and better distortion limitation.
The ribbon portion of the hybrid tweeter module is a magneto-static style tweeter. Four bands of conductive material make up the active diaphragm controlled by a strong magnetic field formed around it. The ribbon tweeter is a master of wide dispersion and combining it with the dome tweeter results in a tweeter capable of going as low as 2.0 KHz and still playing fluently up to above 30 KHz. This extreme bandwidth is coupled with the ultra-wide dispersion forming part of DALI's sonic definition.
Designing a best-in-class active loudspeaker system is the sum of several parts. One really important one is the amplifier, or more specifically, the amplifier module. Any quality amplifier module consists of three equally important parts that need to be designed to work together in perfect harmony: the amplifier itself, the PSU and the signal processing.
The PSU and signal processing to the amplifier circuitry must be precisely matched to the needs of the amplifier. This is the only way to achieve distortion-free, coloration-free and coherent amplification.
The CALLISTO 2 C Class D amplifier is based on DALI's patented state-of-the-art technology, with a global feedback and self-oscillating design chosen for its musical properties. Being able to deliver 250W for up to 5 seconds, which is enough power to reproduce complex musical passages as well as massive cinematic explosions.
