The rectangular version of the DALI Phantom H-60 recessed loudspeakers.
Same sound, same specifications and new aesthetics.
Low weight and low resonance material for pure color and no coloration.
As with the H-Series, the DALI H-R loudspeakers feature an MDF baffle that helps dampen unwanted resonances and reduces distortion.
Each component in the crossover is carefully selected for its audiophile qualities, the crossover is specially designed for the PHANTOM H-60. The entire PHANTOM H series includes a variable PTC (Positive Polymer Temperature Coefficient Device) thermal resistor to ensure safe operation. This safeguards the driver components from overheating if you play at high volume for a long period of time. In-ceiling speakers fill more space with their sound than simply the room in which they are installed, so if the listener is in another room the volume can rise to very high levels and damage the speakers. The PTC variable thermal resistor system can prevent this from happening as it acts as a large resistor if the currents are too high.
All internal cables are optimized in the loudspeaker design, positioned and secured to eliminate the possibility of rattling. The terminals are located directly on the crossover for a shorter signal path. Spring-loaded connectors ensure the most durable connection to the speaker cable.
A large part of the definition of the DALI sound comes from the use of a soft dome tweeter. The ferrite-driven magnet motor system can handle more power and disperse the heat generated in the copper coil quickly, thereby reducing compression.
The ultra-lightweight fabric combined with the motor system allows the tweeter to reproduce high frequencies more accurately, giving the PHANTOM H-60 an impressively detailed sound.
The position of the tweeter front panel close to the dome has been optimized to create optimal working conditions for the soft dome. The aim is to combine wide frequency response with wide dispersion and low coloration and to improve the integration of both the tweeter and the mid/bass driver.
A true Hi-Fi speaker is capable of delivering incredible sound, reproducing even the micro details of the audio signal without coloration while the amplifier does all the work. DALI has designed the woofer in the PHANTOM H-60 to respond to all requests. By basing the woofer on the DALI distinctions, light weight and good response of the wood fiber cone, we lay the foundation for reproducing any micro detail in the music, delivering high resolution in the midrange and the accurate and coherent low end bass that DALI is well known for.
To support this, the cone terminates in a low loss rubber surround and both the damping and spider hold the cone assembly optimized for long excursions. All of this is controlled by a powerful magnetic motor system that ensures that the cone assembly can be started and stopped quickly. The double magnets work on the 25 or 30 mm voice coils and together they provide a high magnetic flux. The large diameter of the copper coil also helps to increase the driving power.
Like all DALI loudspeakers, the H-R series optimizes off-axis listening, delivering fantastic sound quality even when placed outside the optimal listening area.
All DALI loudspeakers are designed based on the wide dispersion principle. This leads to optimized off-axis audio reproduction, helping to deliver music or movie audio to the very last part of the room. This technology is perfect for use with installation speakers as they are always wall or ceiling mounted. Working with off-angle optimization ensures that the listener has a larger sweet spot where the reproduction is perfect, but also that the sound received when you are away from the sweet spot is of high quality.
Dali H-R Series drivers have been carefully selected to optimize listening even off-axis. High frequencies are handled by a 28mm (1.1") soft dome tweeter capable of bringing the treble to all corners of the room. They are also equipped with an MDF baffle that dampens resonance and reduces distortion.
Suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting, they are only 9.5 cm deep for easy installation. And thanks to its grille, they blend easily with the environment, achieving a high standard sound with a very discreet aesthetics.
All this makes the DALI Phantom H-R Series perfect for creating custom stereo installations as well as a multi-channel Home Cinema speaker system. Whether in the home or commercial environment.
