The rectangular version of the DALI Phantom H-80 recessed loudspeakers.
Same sound, same specifications and new aesthetics.
Low weight and low resonance material for pure color and no discoloration
As with the H-Series, the DALI H-R loudspeakers feature an MDF baffle that helps dampen unwanted resonances and reduces distortion.
Each component in the crossover is carefully selected for its audiophile qualities and the crossover is designed specifically for the PHANTOM H-80 model. All PHANTOM H models include PTC (positive polymer temperature coefficient device) variable thermal resistance to ensure safe operation. This saves the driver components from overheating if played at high volume for a long period of time. The high speakers embed reproduce often filling sound more than the room in which the room are installed, so if the listener is located in another room and wants to listen to the music will rise the volume and the speakers will be able to damage. The PTC variable thermal resistance system will prevent this from happening as it acts as a large resistor if the current gets too high.
All internal cables are optimized for the speaker designs and are positioned and secured to eliminate the possibility of rattling. The terminals are positioned directly on the crossover for a shorter signal path and the spring-loaded connectors ensure the best possible connection to the cable.
A large part of the definition of DALI sound comes from the use of a soft dome tweeter. The ferrite driving the magnetic motor system is able to handle more power and disperse the heat generated in the copper coil quickly, thereby reducing the compression power.
The ultra-lightweight fabric combined with the motor system allows the tweeter to reproduce high frequencies more accurately, giving the PHANTOM H-80 an impressively detailed sound.
The positioning of the tweeter front panel close to the dome has been optimized to create optimal working conditions for the soft dome. The aim is to combine an extended frequency response with wide dispersion and low coloration, and to improve the integration of both the tweeter and the mid/bass driver.
A true Hi-Fi speaker is capable of delivering incredible sound, reproducing even the micro details in the audio signal without coloration while allowing the amplifier to do all the work. DALI has designed the woofer in the PHANTOM H-80 R to respond to these demands. By basing the woofer on DALI's signature materials, light weight and responsive wood fiber cone, we have laid the foundation for reproducing every musical detail, delivering high resolution in the midrange and accurate, consistent bass that DALI is well known for.
To support this, the cone is terminated in a low loss rubber and both the suspension and the spider that holds the cone are optimized for long excursions. All this is controlled by a powerful magnetic motor system that ensures that the cone can move quickly. The double magnets work in the 25 and 30mm coils and together offer a high magnetic flux. The large diameter of the copper coil also helps to increase the power.
Like all DALI loudspeakers, the H-R series optimizes off-axis listening, delivering fantastic sound quality even when placed outside the optimal listening area.
All DALI loudspeakers are designed based on the wide dispersion principle. This leads to optimized off-axis audio reproduction, helping to deliver movie or music audio to the farthest part of the room. This technology is perfect for flush-mounted speakers as they are wall or ceiling mounted. Working with off-angle optimization ensures that the listener will have a larger sweet spot where the sound will be perfect, but also the certainty that the sound received outside this sweet spot is of high quality.
Dali H-R Series drivers have been carefully selected to optimize listening even off-axis. High frequencies are handled by a 28 mm (1.1") soft dome tweeter capable of delivering high frequencies to all corners of the room. They are also equipped with an MDF baffle that dampens resonance and reduces distortion.
Suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting, they are only 9.5 cm deep for easy installation. And thanks to its grille, they blend easily with the environment, achieving a high standard sound with a very discreet aesthetics.
All this makes the DALI Phantom H-R Series perfect for creating custom stereo installations as well as a multi-channel Home Cinema speaker system. Whether in the home or commercial environment.
