Edifier S2000MKIII

The Edifier S2000MKIII are the active loudspeakers that land on the market to replace the successful Edifier S2000PRO, with great news but without losing its essence.

Its interior houses three amplifiers that reach an output power of 130W that are combined with a superb sound quality thanks to its good internal construction. The Edifier S2000MKIII has been developed based on a clear objective: to achieve the best sound quality.

For this purpose, a flat tweeter system manufactured in collaboration with Fostex is used in the service of innovation, since these are the first bookshelf loudspeakers with such a component.

The 5.5" woofer is formed by an aluminum diaphragm with a large diameter coil, and a suspension made to avoid unwanted harmonics and other distortions. For its creation, the latest technologies and design types were used in order to renew the basket and suspension of the bass unit, to extract all the juice that can give the low frequencies.

The electrical heart of the Edifier S2000MKIII mounts a Burr-Brown PCM1802 chip, which features signal-to-noise ratio figures of up to 105dB. The optical and coaxial connections also use the Burr-Brown PCM9211 with a sampling rate of 24bits/216kHz.

Each loudspeaker is equipped with a Texas Instruments TL320AIC3254 sound processor. Among other things, this DSP component is used to control the dynamic range and avoid annoying distortions.

Finally, the amplifier that makes up the Edifier uses three TAS5754 chips connected in parallel bridge mode to control the woofers of both channels and another one to connect both tweeters.

The S2000MKII are equipped with the new QCC3031 module developed by Qualcomm and support for aptX HD. So you can connect your speakers to your smartphone, tablet, Hi-Res player or PC and enjoy true lossless sound.

If on the other hand you prefer to get the most out of your TV, it is advisable to connect the speakers via optical or coaxial connection. The S2000MKIII make a great pair with any turntable on the market thanks to their 3.5mm to RCA connection.
