The FiiO FD7 is the most advanced alternative in the FD range of the brand, with a clear commitment to bring high fidelity to in-ear format.
It features a 12mm driver made of beryllium, with fast and efficient transient performance compared to the usual drivers made of titanium, combined with a semi-open acoustic design that favors the opening of the scene and achieves a faithful and clear sound quality.
In addition to their exclusive finish, the FD7s come with a high-purity cable and three interchangeable standard and balanced 2.4mm and 4.4mm connectors that adapt to any sound source.
The FiiO FD7 bases its aesthetics on a typical Asian landscape painting technique, resulting in a delicate and refined design.
Its structure is based on the so-called "volcanic field system" developed by FiiO, responsible for reducing standing waves and overall distortion. Its semi-open design relieves pressure on the ear to ensure a more comfortable listening experience wrapped in a perfect design.
Near the pure beryllium driver, the FD7 features an acoustic prism system that addresses the problems that arise with the time delay between different sound waves.
It effectively changes and precisely controls the way sound waves travel through the FD7 to improve the way high-frequency waves propagate and to ensure correct audio phasing.
The FD7 comes standard with a high purity monocrystalline pure silver cable in Litz braided style. 4 large brackets on a total of 224 wires are braided into a single cable. The cable jacket is made of environmentally friendly medical grade TPU to resist yellowing after prolonged use and against stiffness in low temperature environments.
In addition, it comes with interchangeable audio plugs with twist lock for 2.5 / 3.5 / 4.4 mm connections for added convenience.
This cable for the FD7 has been designed with angled expanded MMCX connectors that went through many ergonomic iterations and improvements for maximum wearing comfort.
The FiiO FD7s incorporate three pairs of interchangeable sound tubes/filters, each with a different inner diameter for varied and genre-appropriate audio responses.
The large inner tube presents a wide soundstage, the medium inner tube impresses with its balanced sound, while the smaller inner tube delivers explosive bass.
