The FiiO FH15 is FiiO's new in-ear headphone, using carbon-based materials for the dynamic driver and excellent transient performance. Their light weight, strong rigidity and high internal strength allow the dynamic driver to transit fast through all frequencies.
For mid frequencies, the FH15 employs Knowles ED BA custom drivers. These drivers work based on tuning holes placed in the FH15's housing for lusher vocals and a more musical sound.
The treble is handled by a pair of Knowles RAD BA drivers, capable of high treble resolution and capturing every last detail in the music to achieve an airy and natural sound.
The notch filter is tailor-made for these headphones. A Helmholtz resonator is designed to work with the mid-frequency ED drivers, allowing the variable response between 1kHz and 4kHz enhanced, to result in a more realistic sound.
The FH15s feature an S.Turbo filter that filters out the higher frequencies produced by the bass driver in a low pass filter. This design reduces distortion and results in a more balanced response.
These FiiO FH15s represent a new reboot in EMI design, with an aesthetic based on a dragon scale motif in a moderately sized oval shape to fit and fit snugly in the ear for greater comfort.
Modern minimalist lines seamlessly transition into classic design elements to give the FH15 a lively look.
FiiO's new IEMs feature an aluminum alloy construction that, when combined with the flake design elements allows the headphones to emit a unique and exquisite feel.
Due to the small faceplate area of FH15, precise five-axis CNC machining ensures that each texture on the faceplate is properly 3D and eye-catching. Specifically, 0.8 mm diameter fine cutting heads are used in the CNC machining process to ensure perfect texture.
The FH15 includes 3 pairs of audio filters, each pair allowing a different sound depending on the density of the materials inside the filter:
Included with the FH15 are 3 pairs of FiiO HS18 earpads. Being only 0.4mm thick, the HS18 is extremely comfortable to wear. These ear tips feature a large opening, the same size as the earpiece nozzle, to minimize barriers between the earpiece and the eardrum for maximum detail.
The FiiO FH15s come with a 152-wire silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable with 8 strands of Litz braid. This material specifically reduces skin and proximity effects, reduces eddy current losses and thus improves high frequency resolution.
The audio connectors are interchangeable and include both 3.5mm and 4.4mm connectors.
