The Sub 1000 F subwoofer has been designed for use in Home Cinema, within the purest Focal tradition.
As a concentrate of technology, the subwoofer is equipped with a 30 cm diameter bass speaker, with a Flax sandwich membrane. The rigidity and lightness properties of this linen eco-textile allow it to produce an extremely well-defined sound without distortion. The double 'Dual Magnet' motor offers excellent power, guaranteeing exemplary linearity.
Sub 1000 F integrates an ultra-powerful 1000-watt BASH® amplifier, to allow the 30 cm woofer to express its full potential. Finally, its manufacturing concludes with a response that is expanded in the bass, great compactness and the absence of parasitic noise, for a pure and harmonious sound.
This subwoofer has all the assets to effortlessly and faithfully reproduce your movie soundtracks and proudly complements your Aria 900 range speakers.
The speaker of this bass box uses Flax technology. Flax is an eco-textile with amazing structural properties, especially adapted for acoustic reproduction: light, rigid and with good damping. Linen membranes offer greater neutrality of timbres and better definition of sound.
Emerging from the Flax cones developed for the Aria 900 range of loudspeakers, the Sub 1000 F woofer membrane has a new, even more rigid construction: 2 sheets of 160g/m2 fiberglass and a 250g linen core /m2. Accept the high limitations of using the bass box.
The Sub 1000 F subwoofer also has an optimized motor/coil assembly, so that the coil temperature is kept as low as possible. Thus, the speaker develops a well-articulated bass, better dynamics and significant SPL power (103.5 dB / 1 m @ 40Hz).
The Research & Focal Development has developed a specific spider/suspension assembly for Sub 1000 F. The dynamic behavior of the mobile equipment is perfectly controlled and allows for always controlled bass, even with strong variation (up to 43mm).
