We've made a number of 'clean power' products in our nine-year history to date, but one thing we haven't made is a specialized IEC power cable for home audio components - until now!
The Nova is a specialized power cable with a high-end construction that contrasts with its affordable price. It offers a significant improvement over standard power cords that imbues the sound with greater clarity, space and definition.
The Nova incorporates five conductors, each made of large-gauge continuous-cast OFHC (oxygen-free high thermal conductivity) copper, arranged in a geometrically balanced configuration, very unusual at a price of this type.
Two pairs of live and neutral conductors are arranged on either side of the ground conductor, which is placed in the center of the cable. An additional pair of air dielectric delineators, essentially air-filled polymer matrix tubes, are arranged on either side of the ground conductor, keeping the two pairs of live and neutral conductors separate while improving the cable's overall dielectric performance and constructional robustness.
The cable is finished with a tough but flexible polymer outer jacket and iFi's custom-made audiophile-grade connectors, complete with 24-karat gold-plated oxygen-free copper conductors.

The ground conductor is arranged in a shotgun configuration and is not twisted like other network cables. The live and neutral conductors are arranged in a truly balanced configuration, so their magnetic fields cancel each other out perfectly.
As a result, no residual magnetic field is applied to the center ground conductor, and there is no unwanted induced voltage on the ground conductor; we call this design Ground Zero .
The result of this sophisticated combination of materials and construction is that the Nova power cable offers consistent impedance and superior EMI/RFI rejection while maintaining the purity of the mains power supply that feeds every component in an audio or AV system.
While the effect of this cable on sound quality is significant when used alone, it combines brilliantly with our PowerStation mains conditioning bar: the PowerStation filters common mode and differential mode noise from the power supply, while the Nova maintains optimum purity. all the way to the connected component.
