When Rega engineers were wondering how to make their most successful turntable sound better while being more accessible to a wider audience, the answer was simple. Rega engineers have added a high-quality, custom-designed magnetic Phono preamp to the Rega Planar 1, based on 'What Hi-Fi?' magazine's 5-star award-winning Fono Mini.

For the Rega Planar 1 Plus, we sought to optimize its circuit for exceptional performance, which is why it was decided to eliminate the USB interface and use that cost savings to improve the disk section.

The new built-in Phono preamp offers the option to connect the Planar 1 Plus to virtually any audio system that has a line input via Phono to Phono cable (included) or Phono to 3.5mm. This way you can save yourself from buying a dedicated Phono price or an amplifier with Phono.

There are obvious advantages to integrating the Phono preamp directly under the arm. The shielded cable that comes out of the arm is soldered directly to the preamp, which prevents unwanted clamping of the cable between the preamp and the arm.

The Rega Planar 1 Plus benefits from all the features present in the Planar 1, such as its low-noise 24V motor, its high-precision bearing or its hand-made arm, the RB110 equipped with a carbon cartridge. Its assembly can be done in just 30 seconds.

• Integrated Phono Preamp: This Phono preamp acts as a high-quality preamplifier. It is designed to amplify the signal from the magnetic carbon cartridge to an optimal level for connection to line inputs of multiple devices or amplifiers. This way you can connect it to any device with either a Phono to Phono connection or a Phono (included) to a 3.5mm jack (not included).

• Platform: New RB110 arm design with handmade bearings by the brand with almost zero friction and great performance. Its assembly is completely Plug & Play by the user thanks to its automatic bias and integrated arm. New, more rigid and ergonomic capsule holder to improve its appearance and usability.

• Cartridge: Carbon cartridge included and mounted as standard.

• 24V synchronous motor: The first rega turntable to use a 24V, synchronous motor with new PCB and aluminum pulley, offering low noise and more stable rotation speed. li>

• Base: New thermostable base with a glossy laminate finish, greatly improved in its appearance and with an On/Off switch ergonomically positioned at the bottom. Two base finishes available, gloss black and gloss white

• Center Bearing System: Specifically designed brass bearing provides a perfect fit and eliminates stress on the bearing itself, all while minimizing potential energy transfer .

• Plate: New 23mm, phenolic and higher mass plate with an improved flywheel effect to achieve a more stable speed.

• Redesigned feet: New and improved feet that increase stability and reduce vibration transfer.

• Protective tray for the engine with integrated cooling.

• New counterweight 'Plug & Play' of 111g.
