Sennheiser IE600

These in-ear headphones not only reproduce the detail and emotion of a recording, they transcend beyond it. Each headphone is a masterpiece, as everything is manufactured to the strictest standards: from the amorphous metal frame with a smooth and resistant finish to the high-end audio components developed and manufactured by Sennheiser. The balanced frequency response and highly durable materials have been designed to provide clear, natural vocals, as well as a unique aesthetic that will appeal for decades.

Get closer to your music

No matter what type of music moves you, with the IE 600 you will be able to feel your music more. Enjoy not only the notes, but also the subtle feature of the bow on the string, the slight squeak of your fingers sliding to the next guitar chord. The exquisitely neutral acoustic vocals make the music feel closer, making it more lively and vivid, but pure and natural. Even in this delicate balance, the IE 600 manages to incorporate a powerful but fast and precise low-end response. This is all the work of Sennheiser's TrueResponse transducer, the single 7mm driver responsible for the IE 600's extra-wide frequency range and ultra-low distortion.

Balanced and natural voices

To achieve a natural sound that resembles the neutrality provided by high-end studio monitors, our engineers carefully adjusted the background acoustic volume within the mouthpiece of the IE 600. This loudness provides a presence and intimacy that brings the listeners closer together. listeners to music, allowing them to discover new accents and details. However, reaching this level of balance and naturalness was not without challenges. When similar sounds occur simultaneously, for example in a track, it can be difficult for the human ear to distinguish all the nuances. The IE 600s feature dual two-chamber dampers (D2CA) that capture and attenuate these masking frequencies, revealing even the finest textures of your music.

Harder than steel, built to last

Researchers have worked for many years to perfect amorphous metals for manufacturing. The wait was worth it: the Heraeus Amloy Technologies zirconium alloy we chose for the IE 600 has three times the hardness and bending strength of high-performance steel. Frozen during manufacturing, amorphous metals never have the opportunity to form a crystalline structure like conventional metals. The result is a glossy, satin-like surface that is extraordinarily resistant to corrosion and scratches. The IE 600's casing is manufactured using metal powder-based 3D printing that can create any shape imaginable within tight tolerances. The chambers and channels are part of this additive manufacturing process without the need for milling. However, cost limits the potential applications of this new material. One of the only places you'll find it, aside from high-end products like the IE 600, is on the drill head of a NASA Mars Rover, where extraordinary strength is required in extreme conditions.

Automated manufacturing, hand finishing

Production of the amorphous metal frame takes place in Germany and includes both automatic and manual steps. A computer-controlled laser sinters a thin layer of metal powder, welding the molten alloy to the already hardened material beneath it. Layer by layer, the piece is put together until it takes its final shape. A technician then removes any leftover items from the manufacturing process by hand. After thorough cleaning, steel shot blasting, polishing and sophisticated surface treatment, the frame takes on its final and extremely durable aesthetic. Even daily use does not leave evidence in the form of scratches or wear.

A faithful companion for your sound journey

Sennheiser assembles each TrueResponse transducer with durable construction. As one of the most advanced production lines of its kind in the world, our manufacturing facility has a singular purpose: to exceed audiophile expectations. This is how we consistently achieve channel matching that makes left-to-right differences almost undetectable. And the total harmonic distortion rivals any other product on the market. All the quality of this product is wrapped in an extremely resistant amorphous metal, ensuring that the IE 600 headphones will remain in perfect condition for countless years. With solid protection against corrosion and wear marks, the IE 600s were designed to continue providing acoustic and visual joy for decades.

The comfort of custom fit

The IE 600 packs big sound into a small, ergonomic package. Gold-plated MMCX connectors are recessed into the frame for added stability and guidance. They support cable diameters of 4.8mm and smaller, allowing them to connect to a wide range of audio sources as well as hi-fi components with balanced outputs. You can choose between balanced and unbalanced para-aramid reinforced cables: 3.5mm and 4.4mm are included; 2.5 mm are sold separately. Two different styles of silicone and memory foam ear tips are provided in three sizes for a comfortable seal in either ear. Flexible and adjustable ear hooks further enhance long-lasting comfort.
