The Topping A50S is a stationary amplifier, designed to power your music and move your headphones to perfection.
Its internal structure of NFCA modules, combined with an exquisite housing design, results in a multi-purpose and very powerful device.
The Topping A50s mounts the same NFCA model as the flagship A90.
The current-carrying capability allows the amplifier to drive impedance-demanding headphones with ease.
The ultra-low noise of 0.3uv is way ahead of the competition, providing an absurdly low dynamic range of 144dB and no audible noise. In addition, sensitive IEMs will find the Topping A50s a great ally thanks to its structure.
The A50s uses a full aluminum housing with unique workmanship.
The outer casing is made of an aluminum brick by precision CNC machining.
This housing is also designed with a thermally conductive column to dissipate heat from the power supply and OP-AMP through the entire outer housing.
Although there is only a single-ended input, the Topping A50s has a built-in balanced amplifier circuit.
With this, it is compatible with 6.35mm headphones and balanced headphones, thanks to its 4.4mm output.
The A50s has a high voltage swing of 42 Vp-p, a power of 3500mW per channel when both channels are on.
Thus, this amplifier can easily drive power-hungry headphones with a wide range of different impedances.
The A50s is equipped with two gain settings of 0dB / 6dB on the SE output.
The wide range of gain settings and ultra-low noise of 0.3uVrms make the A50 easily adaptable to all types of headphones, from extremely sensitive IEMs to most HiFi headphones that demand power.
The NFCA modules of the Topping A50 are not only capable of driving headphones, but also apply to be a preamplifier with the same ultra-high performance.
When in preamplifier mode, the output impedance is as low as 20 ohms, which is very suitable for various devices.
When the A50s is not connected to any headphones, it automatically operates in preamplifier mode and the amplified signal is output from the RCA on the rear panel.r.
When headphones are connected to a 6.35 mm or 4.4 mm output, A50s automatically switches to headphone amplifier mode and the signal is only output to the 6.35 mm and 4.4 mm connector.
