Incluye un chip de conversión ESS ES9038Pro, una interfaz XMOS e incluso un CPLD Altera Max II. The D90SE is also versatile thanks to its full connectivity and integrated Bluetooth receiver.

The D90SE incorporates an ESS Sabre ES9038Pro ESS DAC chip, using 32-bit HyperStream architecture to achieve an extremely high level of performance for incredibly accurate and transparent sound reproduction.

This new Topping DAC performs an independent I / V (current / voltage) conversion for the 8 channels of the ES9038Pro and then connects them in parallel. A technique that allows to reach a higher and higher level of performance.

The Topping D90SE uses an Altera Max II CPLD to process the clock signal to optimize the quality of the digital signals, greatly reducing jitter.

One of the particularities and novelties of the D90SE is its support and compatibility with MQA in all its inputs. This format will allow you to enjoy a sensational quality, close to the original recording of your favorite tracks.

The USB input uses a second-generation XMOS XU2013 16-core chip. The latter supports high sampling rates, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512 as well as MQA. This chip is partnered here with a custom Thesycon driver.

The Topping D90SE features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and is equipped with a Qualcomm CSR8675 chip, to stream music wirelessly, directly from your Hi-Res player, smartphone or tablet.

Supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL and LDAC codecs, enabling you to achieve exquisite sound quality without wires.

The D90SE's connection panel has all types of inputs and outputs to suit all systems.

There are AES, USB-B, Optical, Coaxial, I2S LVDS via HDMI inputs. Regarding its outputs, we have unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR.

On the other hand, the D90SE offers a selectable output system. Thus, the audio stream can be routed to the XLR output, the RCA output or both at the same time. In addition, it also allows you to choose an output level. Thus, the XLR output can operate at 4V or 5V and the RCA output at 2V or 2.5V.

In addition to the DAC with its fixed output level, this Topping offers the user a DAC+ preamplifier mode.

In this mode, you can control the volume level. Therefore, the D90SE can be directly associated with a power amplifier or active loudspeakers.
