Topping offers with its LA90 a powerful and efficient amplifier, which can operate both in stereo and mono mode. In the first case it is able to deliver a power of 2x90W below 4Ω (1% THD+N), in the second case it will be able to deliver a power of 180W below 8Ω (1% THD+N). In addition, the LA90 provides a combined balanced input connector, being able to connect the device both in 6.35mm Jack and XLR.
The LA90 offers a whole new level of performance, revealing incredible accuracy and clarity of reproduction, with linear response and extremely low noise.
The LA90 is encased in a precision CNC machined aluminum chassis. This cabinet gives the amplifier a modern design while effectively protecting the unit's components. The sides of the LA90 are equipped with large heat sinks, which effectively dissipate the heat emitted by the internal electronics.
The extremely low THD+N of the LA90 is measured at only 0.00007 % below 8 Ω 10 W and 0.00008 % below 4 Ω 20 W. These performances allow you, in fact, an accurate reproduction of the source signal.
The LA90 provides three balanced inputs. These have a combined format, allowing the use of both XLR and 6.35 mm TRS cables. In addition, three connectors allow the device to be used in mono mode.
To accommodate the vast majority of audio systems, including the most demanding ones, the LA90 offers adjustable gain in two levels. The first, Low Gain, offers a gain of +6.7dB, while the second, High Gain, offers a gain of +19dB.
The Topping LA90 can be configured and wired to operate in stereo or mono mode, and the combination of two LA90s provides increased power. When used in mono mode, the minimum impedance is 8Ω.
The volume of the LA90 can be adjusted with the large knob on the front panel. It is also possible to bypass the LA90's volume control to pair it with a HiFi preamplifier. The latter is particularly useful for synchronizing the volume of two LA90s when used in mono mode.
