The new Topping MX5 comes with Sabre ESS9018 high fidelity DAC chip, XMOS XU208 and Qualcomm QCC3031 which offers excellent performance whether connecting via USB, fiber optic, coaxial or Bluetooth.
This allows the MX5 to access a wide range of equipment such as cell phones, CD players, tablets and even televisions.
In addition to supporting a wide variety of digital inputs, the Topping MX5 also features both balanced TRS and RCA analog inputs to make this device fully compatible with any equipment.
The MX5 supports auto On/Off on all inputs.
This allows the device to turn on as soon as it detects any input signal and turn off automatically when it stops detecting it. When any signal is lost, after a timeout, the MX5 enters Stand By automatically.
For analog inputs of different power, the MX5 has 3 selectable sensitivity levels to ensure that the signal is always detected accurately.
With the help of the Infineon Merus class D amplifier, the Topping MX5 achieves these figures in amplifier power:
The MX5 features NFCA circuitry optimized for ultra-low noise and distortion. It can be paired with both high-sensitivity in-ear headphones and high-impedance, power-demanding on-ear headphones.
Headphone output power:
The MX5 comes with a built-in equalizer for adjusting the bass and treble settings. They can be adjusted from -10 to +10 dB respectively.
In order to adapt the power depending on the delivery needed by our speakers or headphones, the MX5 has 2 selectable gain levels.
These levels, high gain and low gain, can be selected from the remote control.
The Topping MX5 has two memories, C1 and C2 that can store settings such as selected input, selected output, volume, bass setting, treble setting and selected gain.
