The FiiO FF3 follows the tradition of other FiiO products that are made with carefully selected materials subject to fine craftsmanship. The stainless steel casing is subjected to polishing and PVD electroplating to make it not only look attractive but also comfortable to wear.
The dynamic driver cover is made of high permeability tempered glass. When viewed under light, the glass gives a crystal clear, transparent appearance with several distinct layers depending on the angle you view it from, giving the FF3 a unique and eye-catching presence.
Based on the percussion musical instrument, a new bass cavity design has been created especially for the FF3. This cavity was specially designed to take full advantage of and utilize resonances to more effectively bring out the texture of bass notes and accurately reproduce the woodiness of the music with amazing agility.
FiiO has been able to make the most of the internal space of the FF3 casing to place a bass-enhancing acoustic tube inside. This tube widens the airflow path, increases damping and improves damping to reduce the resonance point of the headphones for incredible sound performance.
This allows the FiiO FF3 to reproduce frequencies as low as 90Hz with normal open use, and have an effective frequency range of up to 42.5Hz for truly deep bass.
Thanks to its large 14.2mm dynamic driver, the FF3 can release more energy when playing music to enable a cleaner, more natural sound. Experience the vigorous sound of drums as well as the energetic dynamics of your music with the FF3.
Good sound not only comes from the size of the driver, but also from the materials it is made from.
After much testing by the FiiO team, a beryllium plated dome dynamic driver + PU gasket has been chosen for the FF3. The beryllium-plated diaphragm is very rigid and lightweight, reducing unwanted vibrations and therefore unwanted distortion.
PU is used for the dynamic driver board, and its characteristics allow for more detailed and textured bass. And not only does the bass sound wonderful, mid-frequency human voices are lush and the treble has also been greatly improved, with an effective frequency range of up to 17 kHz. A larger effective frequency range also has the advantage of giving the impression of a larger soundstage.
Great sound comes from carefully considering all aspects of product design, including parts that aren't so user-friendly.
The FF3's dynamic driver features an ultra-thin copper-clad Daikoku voice coil. With a diameter of just 0.033mm, the Daikoku voice coul is lightweight and helps reduce the overall weight of the dynamic driver, allowing it to move faster and further improve treble resolution.
The FF3 comes standard with 3 types of sponge covers for different types of sound, bass boost, balanced and treble-focused transparent.
Choose the ones you want to use for different types of music and according to your own taste. For better resolution, it is recommended to use the transparent sponge covers focused on treble.
The cable of the FiiO FF3 consists of 152 wires in total made of high-purity silver-plated monocrystalline copper. This was specifically chosen because the silver plating improves treble resolution and reduces unwanted sibilance. The cable jacket is made of German TPU, which allows the cable to not only be resistant to yellowing and hardening, but also allows for greater cable flexibility for more comfortable use and less unusable microphones.
The FiiO FF3 features an all-aluminum twist-lock interchangeable plug design, allowing you to switch between 3.5/4.4mm plugs whenever you need to.
