The PowerStation uses iFi's Active Noise Cancellation II to actively eliminate noise across the entire frequency range, even at the lowest frequencies.

Each socket has added passive filters to eradicate higher frequency noise as well.

Each output is independently isolated in its own chamber to prevent cross-contamination, with the addition of vibration-damping EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate).

We use PurCopper , a form of 99.9999 percent pure OFHC (oxygen-free high conductivity) continuous cast copper, for its superior conductivity.

We have added a 4 mm banana plug to the PowerStation so that a grounding wire can be used to create a ground connection when not present.

• This is an active product, not passive. It cancels much more noise over the entire frequency range than a passive product. Active filtration is MUCH better in the lower frequencies, down to -40dB. Passive filtration is only really effective at the upper end of the frequency range.
  
• Based on military technology, our enhanced Active Noise Cancellation2® actively cancels all incoming noise. It does this by generating a signal identical to the noise signal but in the exact opposite phase. Reduces background noise by > 40dB (> 100x).
  
• PurCopper - a form of 99.9999 percent pure OFHC (oxygen-free high conductivity) continuous cast copper - is widely used for its superior conductivity. This includes 13 AWG, heavy-gauge internal wiring with multilayer polymer insulation, solid PurCopper bus bars and the conductive elements of the outputs themselves.
  
• Our wireless purification system (WPS) is a complex circuit that reduces power line noise with no audible or measured side effects.
  
• LED indicators show polarity and ground detection. As usual, green is good, red signifies a problem. There are four possible combinations and these can be found in a short table in the User Manual. This tells you what the problem is and suggests how to fix it.
  
• The overvoltage surge protection (OSP) is an automatic detection and cut-off circuit.If it detects an excessive overvoltage or short circuit in the mains, it will automatically cut off.If this problem persists, it will not restart and will protect your equipment from damage.
