Topping presents its new DAC and headphone amplifier combo which, while maintaining a small size, offers all the sound quality and power to move the most demanding headphones.
Its USB audio input allows us to connect the MX5 to both our PC and a smartphone.
Its Bluetooth has LDAC codec for maximum audio resolution while facilitating interconnection with various devices without the need for cables.
Its optical and coaxial input can be connected to multiple devices such as CD and DVD players, TV sets or consoles.
The DX5 is compatible with Windows 10, MAC, Linux, iOS and Android so it can be easily connected to both a PC and a smartphone.
It uses the second generation XMOS XU216 with 16 cores supporting up to 32bit/768kHz in PCM plus DSD512 and MQA full decoder.
The Topping DX5 is Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LDAC certified. It uses the new QCC5125 chipset that supports the following codecs: LDAC, AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX HD and aptX LL.
To further improve audio quality, the integrated DAC in the QCC5125 is abandoned and the ES9068AS dual chip is used to decode the digital signal.
This unit features the Topping NFCA amplifier integrated and optimized for this model, obtaining ultra-low noise and distortion. It is fully compatible with both sensitive In Ears and high impedance earphones.
In addition to this, the device has two gain levels allowing it to adapt to any type of headphones:
To adapt to different usage scenarios, the MX5 has 4 output modes:
