This new edition of the BTR5 2021 is updated with MQA Renderer support, enabling master sound quality in high resolution and file sizes suitable for the mobile device.

The FiiO BTR5 is designed to change and enhance your experience. With the help of Bluetooth version 5.0 it supports high resolution formats like AAC/SBC/aptX/aptX Low Latency/aptX HD and LDAC up to 96kHz and get a high fidelity setup but in a portable format.

Using an XMOS XUF208 XMOS control chip, the BTR5 2021 is capable of asynchronous audio decoding under USB Audio Class 2.0. As a USB DAC, this BTR5 2021 can decode up to 384 kHz sample rate and native DSD.

The Qualcomm CSR8675 is a Bluetooth Low Power chip with enhanced audio capabilities, such as supporting 24-bit audio processing and possessing a 120 MHz DSP, allowing it to easily handle various Bluetooth decoding functions.

An FPGA is responsible for the transmission and reception of Bluetooth and USB digital audio signals, as well as clock management.

In the FiiO BTR5 2021, after the Bluetooth signal is processed through the FPGA, the jitter is greatly reduced and the signal stability is improved, completely solving the problem of different clock rates existing between different parts of the audio architecture.

With the addition of a dedicated FPGA, the dual crystal oscillators can reproduce audio signals more accurately under various sample rates during Bluetooth and USB decoding.

For greater power and detailed resolution, the BTR5 2021 features balanced and single-ended outputs.

In its balanced audio architecture, each channel is driven separately with its own DAC and amplifier, allowing the BTR5 2021 to deliver unmatched purity of sound, delicacy and balance.

The FiiO BTR5 2021's unique display shows everything. It features a crisp 0.49-inch 64 x 32 resolution OLED screen that displays pairing / connection / call status / power status / encoding format / volume.

Through the display, you can open a menu that allows you to view and visually adjust the charging status, enable car mode, change filters and equalizer, etc.

With a built-in 550 mAh battery, the BTR5 2021 takes only 1.5 h to fully charge, with a total battery life of up to 9 hours.

While the BTR5 2021 has a built-in high-sensitivity omnidirectional microphone, you can use an external microphone on a 3.5 mm CTIA headset.

When using either set of microphones, you can benefit from cVC 8.0 noise cancellation technology, which intelligently adjusts microphone gain and effectively suppresses background noise for crystal-clear calls.

When you connect the FiiO BTR5 2021 to your phone, the volume of the phone and the volume of the BTR5 2021 can be adjusted separately, allowing you to better adjust the volume to your needs.

When a USB connection is detected, the BTR5 2021 will automatically prompt you to activate the "USB Audio Adapter" mode, which turns off the charging of the BTR5 2021 and allows you to use it as an audio dongle for your phone or other devices.
