NAD has a distinctive reputation for creating some of the best entry-level amplifiers of all time. The lineage is impressive, from the 3020 of 1978 to the current C328, with many 'Best Amp' awards and five-star reviews earned over the years.

The C316BEE lived up to expectations, earning multiple accolades including an EISA award for 'Best Product 2008-2009' and top recommendations from the world's leading audio publications. With the resurgence of vinyl, we have decided to update the design by including NAD's highly acclaimed and praised RIAA phono stage.

This sophisticated circuit combines low noise with high overload margins to eliminate noise and distortion. The RIAA equalization is extremely accurate (a rarity at this price) and there's even an infrasonic filter to reject airborne vibrations that can cause parasitic feedback.

NAD's PowerDrive Circuit has been proven to deliver a remarkable combination of high current drive needed for complex speaker loads and high levels of distortion-free dynamic power.

By monitoring the precise operating conditions of the power amplifier, PowerDrive uses this intelligence to automatically optimize the power supply settings for consistently low distortion and maximum power in real-world music listening.

As shown on our top Masters series models, the PowerDrive system uses a complex 'analog computer' to determine the optimal settings. For the C316V2, NAD Director of Advanced Development Bjorn Erik Edvardsen developed a new intelligent computing circuit that requires fewer parts at a much lower cost without any reduction in effectiveness.

All the features of NAD technology are present, from the oversized toroidal power transformer and smoothed low ESR capacitors, to the multiple regulated secondary power supplies, to the discrete high power output transistors, the C316V2 is so refined and sophisticated like other NAD amplifiers.

While the C316V2 has everything you need to enjoy music, the equipment has been refreshingly limited to the essentials: six inputs, a set of speakers, a headphone jack and a full-featured remote control.

It has a compact size and discreet exterior appeal. It's all a NAD in essence.
