NAD M33, high performance and audiophile sound

In its simplest form, the M33 BluOS™-enabled DAC/amplifier is an ultra-high-performance streamer amplifier with excellent audiophile sound.

As a BluOS-enabled component, the M33 can be combined with other players in a BluOS ecosystem of wirelessly networked music players throughout the home for a great whole-home audio system.

Employing new Purifi Eigentakt™ hybrid digital amplifier technology, the M33 continues NAD's long tradition of identifying and developing cutting-edge amplification technology.

At a minimum of 200W, the result is realistic performance, exemplified by ultra-low distortion and noise.

Room correction by DIRAC

Experts agree that room acoustics are the weakest link in most sound systems, and that room reflections deteriorate tonal balance and dynamics.

One of the most respected room correction systems, Dirac not only adjusts the frequency response, but unlike other room correction systems, it also optimizes the impulse response. By optimizing the speaker/room interface, music sounds more natural and realistic.

The M33 includes a precision microphone to measure the room from the listening position, so that the system can be precisely calibrated for optimal performance. Even the most sophisticated speakers can be greatly improved using Dirac calibration.

Each of the Dirac's 5 memory slots can store room-specific data or different target frequency curves to suit a particular musical taste or genre.

The M33 also supports Dirac's advanced 'Bass Control'* feature with two independent subwoofer outputs.

Versatility built to last

In its standard form, the M33 is very complete with a wide range of inputs/outputs, BluOS, Dirac, HDMI and more already fully integrated. It will meet the requirements of the most demanding users.

To minimize the risk of future obsolescence, the M33 comes with two MDC (Modular Design Construction) slots that allow for further expansion. NAD introduced the MDC platform over a decade ago and allowed products to be updated with new technologies that did not even exist at the time of introduction.

Wireless connection and versatility

Whether you want to connect digital or analog sources, the M33 is well equipped to do so: 6 digital inputs and 3 analog inputs, including the MM phono.

At the back, the rear panel houses two sets of bi-wiring compatible speaker outputs and a stereo subwoofer output with a fully configurable Digital Crossover. Airplay 2 and Bluetooth AptX-HD enable wireless local streaming from a phone or tablet.

Phono and headphones

The M33 has a high quality MM phono input that rivals specialist external units. Precise RIAA equalization, a clever phase-canceling infrasonic filter, and huge headroom combine to bring out the best in LPs.

Additionally, headphone enthusiasts will delight in the sound of the discrete headphone amplifier, which is capable of driving even flat, high-impedance studio devices. With high voltage and low output impedance, the headphones will sound their best.

For those who want to enjoy their headphones but without being tied to a cable, the integrated AptX-HD Bluetooth module also allows direct use with wireless headphones.

Attractive design with excellent ergonomics

Its alloy construction achieves an elegant and practical aesthetic. The single volume control is complemented by a color LCD touch screen.

Solid panels with iso-point magnetic feet provide a firm foundation for the multi-layered circuitry and intricate internal construction.

The M33 employs a completely modern and fresh take on the traditional stereo amplifier, with features and performance from the future.

Born for integration

BluOS provides hands-free control with full integration of any Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device. Through Airplay 2, it also supports Siri. Considerable effort has been invested in making the M33 fully compatible with all smart home systems from leading companies such as Apple, Crestron, Control4, Lutron, KNX and many others.

This means that along with lighting, blinds, HVAC and security, the technician or user can seamlessly control the BluOS multi-room music system from a common interface. All integrations are certified for reliable operation.

Custom BluOS apps for iOS and Android tablets and phones, as well as desktop control from Windows and the Apple operating system, are available for free and are regularly updated.
