Topping E30 II Lite

Topping surprises again with the launch of a new version of the Topping E30 II in Lite version. 

This device is a scaled-down version of the excellent E30 II, which features a number of technical improvements over the E30. With an AK4493S DAC chip, an XMOS XU208 USB interface and an optimized power supply, this new product from Topping promises excellent performance for your music. 

The main change in the Topping E30 II Lite is its digital/analog conversion stage.

This uses a single AKM AK4493S DAC chip that improves on the AK4493 chip. It also benefits from the patented Velvet Sound technology, which guarantees sound reproduction that is as precise as it is rich in details. 

The USB-B input on the E30 II Lite makes using the DAC simple and powerful. This is combined with an XMOS XU208 interface and a particularly stable and reliable Thesycon custom controller. Furthermore, this input ensures extremely low jitter. Combining this interface with the AK4493S DAC also means that the E30 II Lite can support high-resolution audio streams, up to 32-bit PCM, 768 kHz and DSD512.

The Topping E30 Lite II offers as complete a range of connections as the E30 II, making it easy to integrate into the vast majority of audio systems. Inputs include USB-B, optical Toslink and coaxial. The output is simply stereo RCA.

The Topping E30 II Lite uses a convenient 5V DC power supply. This means it can be used almost anywhere and can be connected to a computer, phone charger or power bank. 

The built-in protection circuit protects the E30 II Lite and will display an error message in case of incorrect power supply.

To solve the problem of noise that can be caused by the 5V power supply, the Topping E30 II Lite includes a discrete LNRD circuit (Low Noise Reference Driver).

This filters out noise from the power supply to provide a perfectly stable, ultra-low noise electrical signal to the audio circuitry. As a result, the noise floor of the E30 II Lite is less than 1.9 µV.

The Topping E30 II Lite provides six PCM filters and two DSD filters. These allow you to adjust the sound reproduction of the device according to your preferences and your audio system.

With its Auto ON/OFF function, the E30 II Lite automatically turns on and selects the input that receives a valid audio signal.

Similarly, if the device does not receive a signal for a minute, it turns off automatically.

The Topping E30 II Lite has a function that locks its maximum output level. This means it can operate in pure DAC mode so DSD signals bypass the DATT Soft Mute and Delta Sigma modulator for optimum sonic performance.

The Topping E30 II Lite incorporates a volume control to be adjusted in a range from -99dB to 0dB via the remote control. Thus, the device can be connected directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers.
